March Data Release

On March 17, 2022, local data was released for Lancaster County for period ending January 2022. Lancaster experienced it’s biggest single month growth in Labor Force Participation (LFP) since summer 2020. 3,100 people joined the labor force in January, bringing our updated labor force to 279,000. This is still alarmingly short of our peak LFP of 289,900 in January 2020. Seasonally adjusted non-farm jobs grew .4% (+1,000) over the month and 3.8% over the year (+9,400).
