Construction 101 is a pre-employment training program which prepares
young people from non-traditional backgrounds to enter the construction
industry. In particular, the program encourages the employers of its
graduates to place new workers in construction apprenticeships in
carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and other trades after a year of
work experience. Over 150 students have graduated from the program
since 2005.
