Lancaster:  On Thursday, December 4, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math): Upskilling the Future Workforce will be the topic of the annual Lancaster County Workforce Summit beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Eden Resort Inn, 222 Eden Rd. in Lancaster.

Sue Mukherjee (left), Special Assistant to the Secretary of Education, PA Department of Education, Carol Adukaitis (middle), Program Manager, State System of Higher Education, and Brenda Becker (right) Superintendent of Hempfield School District will join a local panel of educators and business leaders to discuss ways to bring more STEM content into K-12 curriculum and into training for incumbent workers in Lancaster County high-tech industries.

Scott Sheely, Executive Director of the Lancaster County Workforce Investment Board, will present his annual State of the Workforce address and the Board will honor its Friends of Workforce from among its community partners.
