Our Mission

The LETA Summer Youth Employment Program aims to provide a meaningful work experience for youth throughout Lancaster County.                     

Stimulus funding from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act has provided an opportunity for youth ages 14-24 from Lancaster County to earn some money while also learning important skills initiatives, the Workforce Investment Board incorporated a learning component with the valuable skills that will prove useful in the workforce. Such skills include resume construction and job application completion, knowledge of training programs, and knowledge of which career areas are in high demand in Lancaster County.

With help from many non-profit and government organizations, the youth are able to see what employment would be like in a field that they expressed interest in. Youth of all backgrounds have come together to work in many areas of employment, from agriculture to administrative support; construction to food service.
